It’s been a busy summer raising funds for charities and supporting our local communities.

Sponsorship and Fund Raising for YMCA East Surrey

Cyclists raising funds for YMCA East Surrye Le Mans

Our Chairman, Mike Connick, recently took on the epic 210-mile Let’s Go Le Mans charity cycle challenge in support of YMCA East Surrey.

Mike joined fellow riders on a two-day route from Redhill, Surrey through the scenic countryside of Brittany and Normandy, finishing in the historic city of Le Mans, home of the legendary endurance race.

Mike was back on his bike for another challenge just a few weeks later. This time 221-miles cycled over 8 iconic Tour de France mountains ascending 29,174 ft (8,892m) over three days, which is more than the height of Mount Everest!

Both rides were sponsored by Connick Tree Care and raised funds for YMCA East Surrey’s vital work helping vulnerable people in our local communities to belong, contribute and thrive.

Walkers: Tom Heaney memorial 50 mile walk for Who Dares Cares

Dan Pennington, Managing Director, and Stuart Wells, Regional Manager for Surrey, took on the challenge of walking 50 miles non-stop from Amberley to Winchester along the South Downs Way, in memory of former soldier Tom Heaney.

The walk raised vital funds for Who Dares Cares, a PTSD charity close to Tom’s heart.

Whitebushes Pond, Community Project

We’re always happy to support community projects. In the case of Whitebushes Pond we were pleased to deliver woodchip to create pathways for local residents to walk and enjoy the green spaces on their doorstep.
