All consultants at Connick Tree Consultancy (CTC) have completed industry recognised training in regard to subsidence risk. They combine this with Arboricultural knowledge and experience to assess the indirect influence trees may be having on a property.
Tree related subsidence occurs when soils supporting foundations undergo volumetric change due to the abstraction of water by trees. Not all subsidence is tree related, and other factors are often involved but overlooked.
CTC consultants are trained to look at the available evidence such as level monitoring data from structural engineers, bore hole samples from soil analysis reports, structural surveys by building surveyors and historic, comparative data. These technical reports are then combined with our knowledge and experience of the tree species to guide further actions to address the issue.
CTC carry out tree related subsidence reports for insurance claims, property management companies, homeowners and housing associations. We are also able to offer advice and guidance where your tree has been implemented in a subsidence claim.
